UTMs for Facebook
What's a UTM?
The Universal Tracking Module (UTM) is a simple code that can be added to any URL in order to be able to track the performance of campaigns and content.
Why do we need them?
When a Facebook user arrives at your store from an ad, UTMs help us figure out which ad they clicked.
This is why you need to make sure you're using the right UTMs so we can get the most data from your visitors.
Facebook is using dynamic UTMs which are helpful because they provide an automated way to populate values into specific parameters we set at the ad level.
Adding UTM to Facebook ad
Copy the following UTM code:
utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign={{campaign.name}}&utm_term={{adset.name}}&utm_content={{ad.name}}&adid={{ad.id}}
Go to any ad you want to track:
Scroll down till you see "URL Parameters" and paste the UTM code there:
Please note that you will have to do this for every ad you want Zoex Pixel to track. You can also bulk edit your ads to speed up the process
Well, that’s a wrap!
